The Fyne Audio SuperTrax Tweeter is an omnidirectional supertweeter that is manufactured, tested, and hand-finished in Glasgow. Moving beyond conventional forward-firing supertweeter design, the patented SuperTrax uses a thin-ply carbon diaphragm (TPCD) ultra-HF driver firing vertically onto a precision-engineered tractrix profile diffuser cone. The cone transforms the beam-like HF output of the driver into a radial 360 degree dispersion, delivering super high-frequency sound in a way which preserves the harmonics and phase response of the point source. Placed on the top surface of each loudspeaker, SuperTrax positioning instructions are supplied with each SuperTrax to attain perfect time-coherent acoustic integration with Vintage model IsoFlare drivers. Supertrax is also suitable for integration with any other speaker, from Fyne Audio or other brands, that has a flat top surface on which to position this unique device. Eliminating the break-up modes of metal dome tweeters, the TPCD driver technology with dome structure unique to Fyne Audio, pushes the boundaries of material science in acoustic transducers, enabling extremely extended and highly linear upper-frequency response with extremely low distortion. The 25mm (1”) driver in SuperTrax has a typical in-room response (+/-6dB) from 16kHz – 60kHz and is suitable to pair with speakers up to 98dB/W sensitivity with a +/-3dB control for balancing with the main speaker. Available in Walnut or Piano Gloss Black, SuperTrax elevates user's listening experience by broadening speaker's frequency response beyond the typical range of human hearing.
