Grado's Aeon3 cartridge creates extraordinary reproduction of vocals and instruments. The sapphire, gold, diamond, and cocobolo work together to bring this cartridge to life and exhibit superlative tonal balance, dynamics, imaging, and realism. For the first time, the diamond stylus is mounted on a sapphire cantilever that connects to the stylus generating system. This cartridges reproduction of low frequency pitch information is second-to-none, in addition to solid and authoritative bass dynamics.
Each Aeon3 built sees final assembly by John Grado himself on his workbench, fine tuning them for the best turntable and hi-fi setups. The Aeon3 features a unique generating system that has the lowest effective moving mass of any cartridge. All of the internal magnetic circuit parts are Swiss screw machined or moldedmetal, which have tolerances on the order of the best Swiss-made watches. Combining newly developed coil winding techniques with decades-old disciplines bring exact unison between the four coils in each phono cartridge.This creates precise balance between channels and accurate stereo imaging.A new four-step shielding process allows the isolation of the wire turns in the coils, and creates an unrivaled clear path for the signal to travel.
